Creating an exhibition space on sketchup
Originally when I had intended to do a series of digital images based on public transport, I had designed an exhibition space on sketch up that resembled a tube and that was situated beside Camden Town tube station. However, when I started working with the polaroids and fine-tuning how I wanted my project to come across as monochrome and minimalist. Therefore, I designed a squarelike exhibition space to emulate the frame size of the polaroid which would house 3 frames on each wall symmetrically. I used concrete to keep the room cool and again, to fit in with the minimalist theme and skylights to give a natural light. I decided not to include artificial lighting because I didn't want my B & W photos to have a tint to them because this would completely alter their meaning. I drew on my trip to the Guggenheim for inspiration as there, the building actually becomes the work of art as well as the tate modern for it's simplicity and modernity.

During my presentation, I passed around a handbook with some samples in it so in the exhibition, I would also have it on a plinth along with a monitor and the camera that I used.
